Bogart

While looking around US media websites for an obituary of Michael Foote, I stepped over to the LA Times website. There I did not find such an obit, but did find this story: Bogart's biggest fan: Hugh Hefner.

The films of Humphrey Bogart will be featured in a series at the UCLA Film and Television Archive's Billy Wilder Theater beginning Friday and continuing through April 10. Susan King reports in The Times about the series and the impact Bogart had on the guest curator, Hugh Hefner. Hefner chose what he considers the five quintessential Bogart films: "Casablanca," "The Maltese Falcon," "To Have and Have Not," "The Big Sleep" and "Key Largo." Here's the entire calendar.
